Mad Gripe

OK, just a random point:
Dark Knight was a great movie, and Heath Ledger was a great joker, in my opinion. After watching it again on the small screen, I still like the mindf**k that the movie gives ya. Yes, Bale's gristly voice as Batman is kinda weird, but other than that, the movie shines for me. I hear he's gone prima donna, however, and is pulling a Crispin Glover with the series. Be interesting to see how that goes.

GI Joe movie:
OK, I want to see it, and I'm gonna see it, despite what some people are saying about it. My problem is that the anti-hypists, as I like to call them, are going too far with their negativity after just seeing the previews, and some are critiquing the posters fer crying out loud (you know who you are). I get the feeling that people are expecting too much. I'll just be glad if Cobra-La isn't involved :) (although, I wouldn't complain if Burgess Meredith was in it again, other than complaining about the necromancy involved necessary for this).

Transformers 2:
Another movie I will see (as Sting: I will see it!), but I just gotta comment on the toys. As a minor-league collector, I've tried to collect something from the movie toys, but I haven't warmed up to anything yet (although I might pick up Brawl, with my weakness for Combaticons and all). I gotta say, I don't understand Soundwave's third form (robot, cybertron jet and... juno award?), and I don't understand the non-transforming transformers figures. Didn't they learn their lesson with the Action Master figures?
